Hyperthermia (overheating of the body) is a serious threat to the lives and well being of millions of people throughout the world. Hyperthermia may result from intense activity, exposure in a hot and humid environment, or a combination of the two.
The best way to treat hyperthermia is to prevent it from occurring; to do so, it is imperative to extract heat from the body as it is produced or gained. Martaca Enterprises has the viable solution to preventing hyperthermia; the Koolicane. The Koolicane is a lightweight heat extraction device capable of preventing a rise in core temperature. By targeting the area of the body with the greatest capacity for heat exchange, the forehead, it is possible to efficiently cool the body.
The Koolicane is a heat extraction device which targets the forehead for optimal heat exchange and is easy to use. It is clinically proven to prevent an increase in body temperature even under the most rigorous conditions by 3 PhD Biologists (publication in press).
In essence, the Koolicane is a cooling head band. There are two main parts, the Heat Dissipater and the head piece. At three pounds, the unit is less than half the weight of the leading competitor but the cooling effects last three times as long as the other guys (per Thermal Exchange Matrix). By simply replacing the battery and Thermal Exchange Matrix when they run out (usually at 6 hours), the Koolicane’s cooling power lasts indefinitely.

Heat from the forehead readily enters the head piece where it is absorbed by the proprietary Thermal Transfer Solution. This solution is circulated throughout the Koolicane so the heat is moved to the Heat Dissipater where it is actively expelled from the system by 2 methods; convective and conductive cooling (Thermal Exchange Matrix). The cooled Thermal Transfer Solution then circulates back up to the head piece where the process of heat extraction reoccurs.
